The coast of Sarawak is typified by extensive mangrove swamps, densely tangled and impenetrable swampy coastline forests. In Similajau National Park the mangroves are protected, and to some extent can be explored along specially built walkways. This image shows a small part of the mangrove, taken from one of the boardwalks.
