Marines practice breathing using a compressed air supply during Modular Amphibious Egress Training aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 14, 2016. The class equipped the Marines with the ability to safely exit an aircraft in the event an aircraft became submerged in water. The training included more than two hours of class time and extensive practical application during which Marines entered a simulated helicopter, also known as a helo dunker, and repeatedly practiced escaping from the submerged aircraft.
