Maxima, An attractive variety, growing 5 feet high, with large glaucous green leaves and bright yellow flowers 5 to 6 inches across, June to September. Newmani. Dark orange-yellow flowers, with deep purple cone, borne on stiff, wiry stems, 3 feet high, July to October. Nitida, 'Autumn Sun.' A showy single-flowering sort. It has long broad petals of a bright primrose-yellow grows 5 to 6 feet high, flowers from August to October. Purpurea (Giant Purple Cone-flower). Flowers about 4 inches across, of a peculiar reddish-purple with a remarkably large cone-shaped centre of brown; forms bushy plants 3 feet high, and blooms from July to October. Sub-tomentosa.
