Northrup, King & Co., 26 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minn. Gentlemen: Permit me to thank you heartily for the exceptionally fine consignment of potatoes sent me, and which you did me the honor to name Pingree Potatoes. I trust that the farmers who plant them and introduce them to the markets may have an abundant harvest, and that the pota- toes may have a flavor and quality equal to those you 6ent me. Very respectfully, H. S. PINGREE. T A T 0 If FINE TABLE and LONG KEEPING qualities, combined with GREAT PRODUCTIVENESS, ever warranted the introduction of a potato, we are justified in sending out the PINGREE, believing that it will find favor with all who grow it. and that it will take care of itself in the battle for popular favor. The PINGREE is a main crop potato; is productive to an extraordinary degree. The tubers are bunched closely in growing, which materially lessens the labor of harvesting. The potato itself is of the size and shape best liked in the leading markets. The skin is of a bright, light russet color. Eyes are few and nearly flush with the surface. In quality nothing can surpass it. In fact, in this particular we know of no sort that equals it. Its snowy whiteness when cooked, together with its dry and floury nature, has made it a favorite on every table where it has been tried. PRICE. The very reasonable price at which we offer this potato will enable all who are disposed to try it to do so without paying the extravagant rates usually asked for new varieties. We are sure that all who try them will be greatly pleased wit
