A German silver-decorated hunting sword with scabbard, mid-17th century Straight single-edged blade with triple fullers on both sides. Iron knuckle-bow hilt. Both sides of the staghorn grip scales and the obverse side of the hilt are decorated with hemispherical silver rivets. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with ornamentally engraved openwork iron mountings over silver backing. Locket has a recess for the missing byknife.
