Head of Meleager, 2nd century. Roman, after a Greek original of the mid 4th century BC. According to Greem mythology, Meleager was a hero who, together with Atalanta, a female hunter, killed the Calydonian Boar. He was also one of the Argonauts. Found in the collection of The Hermitage, St Petersburg.
