BLACK SEA (Oct. 16, 2014) – Ensign Michael Tomsic and Quartermaster 1st Class Christopher Allison aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) conduct communications exercises with the Turkish navy Barbaros-class frigate TCG Salihreis (F 246) during a passing exercise. Cole, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
