Wilkinson's catalyst. Molecular model of the metal complex and co-ordination compound Wilkinson's catalyst (), used for catalyzing the hydrogenation of alkenes. It is named for chemist and Nobel laureate Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: rhodium (dark green), phosphorus (orange), chlorine (green), carbon (grey), and hydrogen (white).
