Skyline of Chongqing, China. Chongqing was originally the capital of the State of Ba for over 3000 years. The place was called Jiangzhou during the Western Han Dynasty. Later on, it was changed into Yuzhou during the Sui, Tang, Wudai and Northern Song Dynasties. Today, Chongqing's wider metro area is home to 11 million people, 40 percent of whom are industrial workers.
