A splendid flintlock pistol, in the style of Felix Werder, Zurich, circa 1660. Fire-gilt bronze barrel with three-stage profile, octagonal then hexadecagonal then round. Slightly shortened barrel, the smooth bore in 13 mm calibre with a slightly sagged axle. At the breech fine hunting-themed engravings amid tendrils. Lined vent hole. The lock made from fire-gilt bronze with iron screws and mechanism. The lockplate with engraved depiction of a horseman in front of a city scene, the hammer decorated with mythical creatures.
