Castle Howard is one of England's finest historic houses. Designed by Sir John Vanbrugh for the 3rd Earl of Carlisle, its creation spanned the lifetime of three Earls and numerous craftsmen. Today it is the home to the Hon Simon and Mrs Howard and their children Merlin and Octavia.
