1950s glasses and telephone. A young woman in typical fifties glasses and bows is talking on the telephone. Swedish on-piece plastic telephone created by Ericsson Company of Sweden. Because of its styling and its influence on future telephone design, the Ericofon is considered one of the most significant industrial designs of the 20th century. The idea was to incorporate the dial and handset into one single unit. The model is also known as the Cobra telephone for its resemblance to a coiled snake, and is now a sought after antique.
