Niche with a Seated Buddha and Attendants is a rare lunette from the Buddhist complex at Hadda, Afghanistan. Shakyamuni, the historic Buddha born as Prince Siddhartha, is shown as a bodhisattva wearing the jeweled turban and ornaments of a royal. It is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
