A farm couople aboard a donkey cart, followed by a loaded hand drawn cart on dirt road some thirty miles from Beijing, China.
Before the turn of the century the bicycle was China's prevalent form of urban transportation. Since then, with an expanding national economy and a growing affluence for working class families, traditional traditional travel is rapidly being replaced by use of the automobile.
