Though by position Natal is a semi-tropicalcountry, occupying the same relative position as southern]\Iarocco or Egypt in the other hemisphere, its climate isexceedingly agreeable and healthy; the heat in summeris not intense, and the winters are delightful. Eain fallsin all months, though chiefly through the summer fromSeptember till April, when thunder and hail storms arealso frequent.
