'The Humorous Diversion of Sliding on the Ice', c1745. Artist: Benjamin Cole

'The Humorous Diversion of Sliding on the Ice', c1745. On the right a young man has slipped and hit his head where blood pours from the wound. In the centre a lone figure remains standing, but not for long as a figure to the left reaches out in an effort to grab his ankle and trip him up. After an original painting in Vauxhall Gardens.
