Hachiko sculpture (known in japanese as chuken Hachiko, or faithful dog Hachiko). Was an Akita dog and a Shibuya fixture during the late 1920's and 1930's. The present time scultpure was made by Takeshi Ando (son of the author of the original statue destroyed during the WWII) and erected in 1948. This is the most popular meeting spot around the Shibuya Station (in front of Hachiko exit). Shibuya-ku. Tokyo. Japan
