He was trans-ferred to El Paso, Tex., on the Mexican frontier, and then to Gettysburg,Pa., where he won his commission of first lieutenant, and assigned to the60th Infantry. From Gettysburg the regiment was sent to Charlotte, N. C,and Lieutenant Dose was promoted to captain, 60th Infantry, and becameattached to Headquarters Company, 60th Regiment. He sai
