MIMS, Fla. (Aug. 10, 2018) Lt. Cdr. Nate Juckett presents the American flag to the next of kin on behalf of a grateful nation during military funeral honors for Rear Adm. Alene Duerk at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Juckett, from Naval Ordnance Test Unit, was among the sailors from various units in Navy Region Southeast who provided traditional military funeral honors for Duerk at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Family, friends and colleagues gathered at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery to pay final respects to Duerk, the Navy's first woman flag officer.
