5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Oct. 3, 2017) Flight deck personnel assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) prepare for night flight operations on the ship's flight deck. Pearl Harbor is part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
