NYC Council Speaker and mayoral candidate Christine Quinn hold Brooklyn-born 11 month old Sam Lutz at a rally to save Long Island College Hospital in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York on Saturday, April 13, 2013. The hospital, which was purchased by SUNY Downstate in 2011, is reported to be losing $4 million a month and the NYS university system wants to close it and sell the real estate. There is currently a stay on the closing via a court order with a hearing scheduled for May. (© Richard B. Levine)
