The axleilnishing department is equipped witheight lathes, seven Xiles and one Bridge-lord : four Xiles boring mills; one 300and one 200-ton Xiles wheel press. The miscellaneous order departmentwhere a wide variety of work is turnedout is equipped with one 120-in. Clevelandplate shear; two Cleveland overhangpunches with 4i<-in. stroke; two Hilles &Jones double punching and shearing ma-chines and two small stem punchingmachines. A large 500-ton R. D. Woodhydraulic press has been signed by the Ralston company, is usedfor heating large plates previous to theirbeing formed in the hydraulic furnace is equipped with two burn-ers at each end and three burners oneither side.
