Lt. E. E. Cooper from the Signal Corps and Red photographer took this photograph, numbered 111-SC-14278. The image shows Major Walter Hicky, Chaplain Lyman Rollins, 1st Lt. Mark King, and 2nd Lt. William J. Blake examining a captured machine gun. The officers are from the 101st Regiment of Infantry, formerly from the Infantry Regiment. The raiding party had just returned when the photo was taken on May 31, 1918, in Bernecourt, France. The image was authorized for release by A. E. F. Censor on June 24, 1918.
