Female Common Kestrel bringing in a female European Green Lizard for its nestlings (the male has a bright blue head). I had sat waiting for the Kestrels for over 8 hours over 2 mornings, but the male and female would almost always fly straight into the nest hole - very frustrating! On this one occasion, 10 minutes before I had to leave to start my journey back to the UK the bird paused on the branch for a few seconds. I fired off some shots and just hoped that I had captured something. Taken in Western Hungary near the Koros-Maros National Park.
