The Germans attacked from the "Two Tree Hill" with tanks and infantry. Troops of the British V Corps in position on the "Green Hill" (about 5000 yards away from the "Two Tree Hill") held and beat back the attack. 17 German tanks were destroyed by British 25 pounder guns.
