Freshen the edges of the nasal defect and suture the flap intoposition. The cartilage may be implanted in the proposed frontal flap, aboveor below the periosteum, and allowed to remain for several weeks before SURGERY OF THE EXTERNAL NOSE 453 the flap is raised.
