Robonaut 2. This humanoid robot is being developed by NASA and General Motors to take the place of astronauts during extravehicular activity (EVA) tasks. Robonaut is remotely controlled by an astronaut using a telepresence control system. It was flown to the International Space Station (ISS) in February 2011 by mission STS-133, the final mission of the Space Shuttle Discovery.
