The Burns Monument, l Christopher Tait(PICTURED) in costume who will recount episodes from the Bard's work


The Burns Monument on Regent Road will be open to the public this Sunday (21 July) as the city marks the anniversary of the death of Robert Burns with an afternoon of poetry and prose. Taking place on the date on which the first Burns' Supper took place, the afternoon will feature Christopher Tait(PICTURED) as a costumed Burns, who will recount episodes from the Bard's life and recite a number of extracts from his poems.
