A black and white postcard photograph dated 1911 titled "Adelaide looking South from Post Office (GPO) Tower". The image must have been taken from near the top of the tower as there were very few aeroplanes in Australia at this time and virtually none that could carry a camera. The view looks down over Victoria Square and includes the statue of Queen Victoria that was unveiled in 1894.
