The General Post Office building in Kolkata, India. Opened in 1868 this beautiful building with it's 67 metre (220ft) domed roof and Corinthian pillars was designed by architect Walter Grenville. The building also houses a museum which displays a collection stamps and other items. The land it was built on was originally the site of the first Fort William. An alley to the side of the building was the location of the guardhouse where the infamous Black Hole of Calcutta was located.
