Bulbous stock is slowing up, which points to the fact that the growers are safeguarding their Easter prospects. Most of the bulbous stock consists of daffodils and freesias, the warm weather playing havoc with hyacinths and tulips. Miscellaneous stock can be had at a nominal price. The supply of greens nio\-es well. Various Notes. Things were quite brisk at H. W. Sheppard 's last week, especially fu- neral work. There were also a number of wedding orders. This shop has booked a few decoration orders for de- partment stores. Telegraph business holds up well. Ed Bossmeyer, manager at C. E. Critchell's, heard from Mr. Critchell, who is in Honolulu. Mr. Critchell is on his way home and expects to arrive in Cincinnati in time for the Easter rush. Mr. Bossmeyer also reports a good week in out-of-town orders for baskets and supplies. The William Murphy Co. has been re- ceiving some excellent sweet peas from F. A. Schneider, of Price Hill, and also some fancy mignonette from Louis F. Murphy, also of Price Hill. Julius Baer reports a good week in funeral work. This can easily enough be realized, as Mr. Baer is seen at the market daily.
