Tenyears ago, the acreage devoted to wheat was1,000,000 acres ; to-day. it is 3,500,000, and nextyear it will be 4,500,000. With the wholesalebuilding of railways now beginning, the areaunder cultivation should increase fully as rapid I \in the next decade as in that just past.
