Saturday 7th March, London International Cruise Terminal, UK. Battery powered cruise ship Fridtjof Nansen, docked at London International Cruise terminal today. The purpose built expedition cruise ship launched in 2020, has luxury interiors and deck design resembling a billionaire’s super yacht. The ship’s 140m in length hull has been reinforced allowing exploration in style of the ice bound waters of Artic and Antarctic ocean by the ship’s 530 passengers and 151 officers and crew. The cruise ships innovative duel propulsion allows her to sail for 30 minutes using electrical power, between each charging circle, cutting emissions and fuel costs.
