On page 243, it is stated that, at Vermillionville, La., two Companiesof the Regiment were distributed among the others, and that thenceforwardthe Forty-Second had only eight Companies. This is an error. The distribu-tion of the two Companies took place as stated, but this arrangement wasonly temporary.
