Brown, the scales edged with darker, the dark lines forming a reticulate pattern; dorsal and anal fins dark brown, with oblique rows of round whitish spots ; caudal brown, with numerous, rather indistinct, light spots at the base, and an oblique whitish streak in the upper corner.
