RAF Lockheed L1011 Tristar getting ready for takeoff at Brize Norton air base.

An RAF Lockheed L1011 Tristar is backtracking the runway at Brize Norton air base, getting ready for another training flight. These mythical aircraft have previously flown for British airways and Pan Am before being converted to Air-to-Air tankers in 1984. They have served for 30 years for the RAF and retired in 2014, being replaced by newer Airbus A330 MMRT aircraft.
