Wat Phuak Hong or “temple of the flight of swans” is a small temple within the old part of Chiang Mai within the moat. The temple’s main feature is its multi tiered circular chedi, built in a style unusual for Northern Thailand. Wat Phuak Hong is thought to have been built during the 16th century though its founding date is not known with certainty. The temple’s circular chedi is named Chedi Si Phuak Hong which is influenced by Yunnanese architecture.
