Claude Grahame-White, English aviation pioneer, 1910 (1933). Grahame-White (1879-1959) was the first aviator first to make a night flight. He is pictured in his Farman biplane ready to start on his first attempt during the Daily Mail sponsored 1910 London to Manchester air race.
