Dock bug
The dock bug (Coreus marginatus) is a medium sized speckled insect and a member of the Coreidae family. It is found throughout Europe, Asia and north Africa. The annual lifecycle consists of an egg, followed by five instars before maturing as an adult. It is usually found on or near dock and sorrel on which it feeds. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in August.
