Subject of the masquerade was the entry of John of Bavaria into Leiden in 1420. On the obverse are the arms of Bavaria and Leiden with the inscription XVIII AUG above. MCCCCXX. Below it is an antique mask. This is surrounded by the circular VIRTUS CONCORDIA FIDES. On the reverse is engraved VAN VELZEN WIERSMA .. The reverse contains the legend IN MEMORIAM FESTI MDCCCXL., 1986
