Boxwood, laurel and prin- cess pine were the best sellers. Euscus was also in big demand. The potted plants included Jerusalem cherries, be- gonias, primroses, ferns and some excel- lent cyclamens. Many bulb dishes were sold. Eoses, carnations, I'aj)er Whites, stevia, calendulas and violets were the principal cut flowers. Good prices were obtained for everything. Various Notes. The Christmas business was quite gratifying at the store of George F. Lane. Everything in the plant line was sold and a hurried trip was made to Cromwell for more cut blooms to meet the demand. Some fine cyclamens were noted, some of the plants having as many as thirty-six blooms. George G. McClunie says that busi- ness was excellent. Everything cleaned up. Greens were short in supply.
