A wind turbine on the Ashenden Block of the Heygate Estate in Walworth London SE1
The wind turbine is mounted on one of the blocks of the Heygate Estate due to be demolished in the later part of the redevelopment scheme that is due to commence in 2008. It is to give developers data on the wind pattern and strength to assist in the design of the renewable features of the development. Most of the flats are empty, a few are on short-term tenancies and others are being squatted.
