All these roses are beautiful in bud. No one who has a wild garden can dispense with climbing roses. There are many kinds which should be trained into trees to form sheets of blossom in July. In some situations they can be trained over three iron rods arranged as a tripod ; this effectually prevents their overthrow by the wind, which constantly happens when allowed to run up a single pole. They may be trained over banks, or roots, or outhouses, with equal effect.
