Twoband anemonefish (Amphiprion bicinctus) with an anemone on a coral reef. This fish, also known as a clownfish, lives in a symbiotic (mutually beneficial) relationship with the anemone. The anemonefish lives and feeds under the protection of its host's stinging tentacles. The anemone in turn receives morsels of food discarded by the fish, and is cleaned of parasites. Slime on the fish's skin prevents the anemone's stinging cells from harming it.
