MAYPORT, Fla. (March 24, 2017) – Retired Cmdr. Henry Dronzeck (left) and retired Capt. John Meserve (right) are led on a tour of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) by Chief Mass Communication Specialist Michael Lantron. Dronzeck served as the ship's secretary and ship handler of USS Iwo Jima (LPH-2) from 1963-1966 while Meserve served as the executive officer for Iwo Jima from 1984-1987.
