Japanese box. Black lacquered wooden box with lid, on which portrait of a man ( van der Capellen, Minister of Colonies 1814, Governor General 1816-1826), chest to the left in uniform. Understand coat of arms, cross with four equally long arms, a turret of a church (?); Hold by Beast (Half Lion, Half AREND), to which 2 knightheside hangs including spell on ribbon ('Pietate et Fortitudine'); above the shield a crown.
