The Province of Alberta, Legislative Assembly Building, is located in Edmonton, Alberta on a site that was once part of the frontier fort (Fort Edmonton) that resulted in the settlement of the Canadian west. The Assembly is unicameral and has met here since the late nineteenth century. This image shows the rotunda and the fountain erected in 1959 to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to the province and the building.
