Aug 10, 2006 - View of a Naxi minority village at Tiger Leaping Gorge near Qiatou in the Chinese province of Yunnan. For about 15km the Yangtze river pushes through the canyon passing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5596m). Eventually the gorge will be severely damaged by Chinese plans to turn it into a hydroelectric dam similar in size to the Three Gorges project.
