Mr. E. Gumball, who died on 6 August 1924. He was the representative for Wills in the Sussex area and an active freemason, who held high office in the Sussex Lodge. Based in Bristol, England, W. D. and H. O. Wills was one of the largest British tobacco products manufacturers. By 1924 they were a part of the Imperial Tobacco Group of Great Britain and Ireland but still had a certain amount of autonomy. The company was also a prolific publisher of cigarette cards.
