Members of a reconnaissance team examine a dead nine-foot long, 400-pound tiger that was killed during a patrol in the northwest sector of South Vietnam. The Marines killed the tiger after it attacked one of their patrol members. The team members pictured are: Private First Class Maurice M. Howell, Lance Corporal Jackie Blankenship, Private First Class Delbert D. Kelly Jr., Private First Class Thomas E. Shainline, and Private First Class Roy Reagan. They all belong to the Third Reconnaissance Battalion of the Third Marine Division.
